I only watched Murder House and Coven and I'm at chapter 7? Maybe 8? of Freak Show; I agree with Hunter there; the artistic part is so beautiful and the whole message is so precious? Like I really feel everything but the constant massacre and stuff made me a little sick; I mean I know that AHS is going to be about horror and that there are going to be deaths; but come on? the clown thing tho I couldnt sleep for days :/ also there is one death my friend spoiled me (THANK YOU SO MUCH I HATE YOU lmao) that she made me watch it (THANKS AGAIN lmao) that it was just disgusting and I was sick for days; so I dont want to get to that scene again ew.

My friend also spoiled me that Asylum was too dark? so I'm kinda scared to watch it lmao I'm the worst AHS fan on the planet

I loved Coven but hey I'm a teenager who loves watching Evan and Taissa together soo; also I'm a real fan of witches stuff (altho the plot was very disappointing and repetitive lmao) but since it was the least scary it is my favourite lmao; again I'm the worst

Murder House was so good? except well maybe two things that made me cringe a little (I still dont know why I watch AHS, I mean I tend to be scared a lot? And I still watch it? lmao) so so far it's my second fav season

I didnt start to watch Hotel tho; I need to finish Freak Show and watch Asylum (Yes I'll try to watch Asylum, I dont promise anything lol)

The one advantage I'd have going in is - the big complaint I heard was that people couldn't tell all the male actors apart bc they looked too similar, but I already know all their faces really well from other stuff so I think I'd be okay there.

(unrelated but hilarious: I watched Love Actually and Bridget Jones's Diary with a friend who couldn't tell Hugh Grant and Colin Firth apart and she spent both movies really really confused)

it was, yeah. sexuality was a huge theme for hotel in general, and the rape parts were only a portion of that. didn't make them any less disturbing. IIRC the demon that was responsible was only in a handful of episodes and ended up being a very small element in the season as a whole, and tbh i don't even really remember whether its presence/existence was ever explained? it seemed like a very random element to throw into the season and wasn't as purposefully disturbing as dandy's psychotic break. idk if this makes sense, basically i think because the freak show season was built around dandy's murderous tendency and nonexistent sense of empathy it ended up being more disturbing than the randomly placed hotel demon.

yeah i saw a lot of complaints about that too! but the reasoning for all their similar looks is like, semi-explained when you get into the episodes about the countess' backstory.

added two new promos -- "bite sized" and "self preservation" -- to the original post! imo they still aren't really giving anything away though... at this rate they're not gonna release the s6 theme until the night it airs. :/

seeing some spoilers lately that (apparently) confirm that the season's theme is centering on the missing colony of roanoke! if that's true it's gonna be so neat. i can see how some of the promo materials fit in with that too, and some of the photos taken at the AHS set seem to confirm it. i'm excited!! then again it could just be a complete red herring, who knows anymore.
