WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN ? Okay. So. Obviously, I love it. It's Harry Potter. I could read five hundred pages about Harry Potter farting and I'd still love it cause. Duh. Harry Potter. Seeing old characters? I cried. Then I cried again. And again. Was it a good story? Fuck, no. Albus Severus was the most annoying main character of all time. And one of my FAVOURITE characters ever is Anakin Skywalker. I don't usually get bothered by whiny characters. Albus Severus, though. Annoying, selfish, stupid.
And the whole thing was senseless? It went COMPLETELY against what we had seen on the epilogue?
Anyway. Let's go back in time. Again. And again. And again. Cause whenever we do that, it fucks shit up, so the obvious answer to fix it all is to do it AGAIN.
Right.
Please, Jo. We deserve better than this idiocy.
Speaking of deserving better. Poor Diggory family. They were always so good, so fair. And then this book destroyed their morals. Amos and Cedric. Would. Never.
The Malfoys were the saving grace of the story. As someone who is a huge Draco fan, I was at least pleased with that. Draco was a lovely father to Scorpius, even in the alternate universe. Harry could learn a few things from him.
Harry and Hermione are my OTP and their chemistry was still amazing. Ron and Hermione felt really forced to me (biased, I know, but aren't we all?), though I honestly don't get what they were doing with Ron. He was just so stupid and unnecessary the whole book?
I wish we had seen more of James Sirius, Rose, you know... the kids. We focused too much on the one boring kid. Yay. I also felt really unrealistic how so many Potter and Weasley kids were at Hogwarts around the same time as Albus... AND NOT ONE OF THEM TRIED TO REACH OUT??? And Neville too, come on?
Speaking of WTF, how about the times that Harry ordered McGonagall around. Threatened her. And she just went with it? NO. JUST NO. HARRY WOULD NEVER. MCGONAGALL WOULD NEVER. JUST NO.
Snape being alive? Nope. Voldemort would've killed him because of the wand at some point or another, regardless of anything else.
Bellatrix being pregnant during DH? Uhm. That's. Uhm?
And wasn't Sirius supposed to meet Hagrid at the Potters and give him the bike there? Did I make that up? All in all. Pretty disappointing. I loved it. But it felt like a really weird fanfic with a lot OOC.

But it felt like a really weird fanfic with a lot OOC. tbh... my number one complaint is that it focuses on the next gen at all. like... i just don't care. i'm sorry but it's true, i lost any interest in the next gen when i first found out years ago that one of harry's kids was named after SNAPE of all people, lol. but regardless of my bitterness and annoyance at anything next gen-centric this is still a hot mess. jkr literally retconned everything she said previously about how time turners worked just to publish this story. it makes no sense.
cedric was so pure and good i am OUTRAGED to think his character would be marred the way it has been. no thank you.
and bellamort having a baby... i would rather listen to a snape adoration soliloquy than have to believe this is canon.

I'm still not over this. I'm actually starting to feel betrayed because, after YEARS of nothing new, we got the disappointment that was Cursed Child... along with the Fantastic Beasts film that I'm not interested in AT ALL.

This was the worst thing ever! So bad. I had a hard time reading it because I kept putting it down in frustration.
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if Jack Thorne even read any of the previous 7 books. I also wonder if JK actually read Cursed Child.
So mad about the time travel logic in this. It's flawed in every way possible.

Minerva McGonagall, my precious bb. Amos and Cedric. WRONG. ALL WRONG.

Also, what was up with the trolley witch? What was that? Horrible.

Harry literally revealed himself to his enemy. HE USED AN UNFORGIVABLE CURSE. HE USED THE CRUCIATUS CURSE. Because a man spat on Minerva. HE WOULD NEVER THREATEN HER. The trolley witch was the moment I realised this was doomed FOR SURE. So fanfic-ish.
