i'm still trying to process everything that happened in this episode tbh it was such a good pilot... but anyway i don't really have much to say yet except that the cop is rubbing me the wrong way and so is steve (?? or is it steven?? what the hAle was his name)

alsooo the writers got me lookin like a fool for thinking this show was entirely focused on the kids... but i'm actually really glad that it isn't tbh

Most shows I watch I base off the first two episodes and after first one I was hooked. The sheriff was a little strange but not knowing the characters I think everyone is a little strange. I agree that kid focus would be not as interesting.

I love the kids but I also love that they aren't the only focus. This show did a great job of capturing the mood of adult horror, teen horror, and kid horror tropes of the 80s and it was great seeing them played out together and intertwined. Fantastic writing and a good homage to the films of the 80s.
